The three front pockets hold your lenses, while the 3 back pockets are for things like extra cards, batteries, flashes, cell phone, business cards, bottled water, etc. The front pockets have hidden elastic inserts that allow them to stretch to accommodate a wide variety of lens shapes, lengths and widths.
